We’re supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast Cancer Now is the UK’s largest breast cancer research and support charity. They were formed in 2019, following the merger of Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now, bringing together two leading organisations with one shared vision: that by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live – and live well.

Their mission goes beyond research alone. They combine the power of world-class science with life-changing care, making sure people affected by breast cancer are never alone on their journey.

Breast Cancer Now’s work spans across research, support, and campaigning:

World Class Research:

The charity funds vital research into breast cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and care.

Their scientists are working to better understand how breast cancer develops, how it spreads, and how it can be stopped.

Their ultimate aim is to improve survival rates and treatment outcomes, giving people longer and healthier lives.

Support For Those Affected:

A breast cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, not just for patients but also for families and friends. Breast Cancer Now offers a range of support services, including:

A Helpline staffed by expert nurses providing advice and reassurance.

Online forums and peer support groups where people can share experiences and connect with others going through similar journeys.

One-to-one support sessions to help individuals cope with the physical and emotional challenges of breast cancer.

Campaigning For Change:

Breast Cancer Now also works to influence government policies and improve NHS services.

They campaign to ensure patients have access to the best possible treatment, care, and support, regardless of where they live.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK, with around 55,000 women and 400 men diagnosed every year. The work Breast Cancer Now does – from funding lifesaving research to offering compassionate support – is essential in the fight against this disease.

Our brands are teaming up with KeyPoint where our branches are selling a special pink version of their MaxiFlex Active gloves.

We will be donating £1 directly to Breast Cancer Now for every pair of pink gloves sold, where Keypoint will also be donating 40p, so £1.40 for every pair sold will go straight to the great research and support offered by the charity. You can support this by getting yourself, or someone you love, a pair of pink gloves from any of our participating branches!

Once you have your pair, flash your pink pair to show you care and tag our brands on your social media!
