Pavestone Rally 2023: Two IBMG Teams Celebrate Success

We would like to say a huge congratulations to both the RGB Pavestone Rally Team and ‘It’s Not About The Points’, who have been taking part in the adventurous Pavestone Rally over the past week.

The Pavestone Rally was back this September, where teams are invited to buy a road-legal car for under £500, dress it up and drive some of Europe’s greatest roads through the stunning cities, from Ghent to Monte Carlo, all in aid of four amazing charities – The Rainy Day Trust, the British Heart Foundation, Crash and Variety.

Teams can dress up too and are set multiple challenges along the way to earn points, and this year Trevor Mudd, MD of IBMG’s Timber Division, formed a team called ‘It’s not about the points’, creating a little harmless rivalry with the RGB Pavestone Rally Team who entered too!

Both with creatively dressed cars, they set out on the 1,820km route and have had lots of fun along the way. There were highlights for both team such as dressing as food, creatively collecting fruit, drinking from stranger’s shoes, burst tyres, carpool karaoke and being stopped at customs for carrying a bubble gun!

It is fair to say that both teams had a brilliant time, whilst most importantly raising huge sums of money for the deserving charities.

It’s not about the points won challenges including the Circulayo recycling challenge, Carpool Karaoke (for their rendition of Wannabe) and best dressed team overall, whereas the RGB team won the £10k+ fundraising award, best fundraising effort and the best dressed car for Archie Bee! Congratulations to both teams, with It’s Not About The Points coming 6th and RGB coming 5th overall, a great effort from both teams!

And that’s not all! Collectively the total fundraising amount so far for the Pavestone Rally 2023 is £211,000! This money will go a long way to helping those four charities, so thank you to anyone who has donated and supported in our teams’ contributions to this.
