Grant & Stone Building Supplies has been supporting construction projects across the South East since 1987. We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative to join our busy Pinner branch.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work with building materials, support customers, and help keep our yard operating safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Loading and unloading building materials
• Picking and preparing customer orders accurately
• Serving trade and retail customers in the yard
• Receiving and checking supplier deliveries
• Organising and maintaining stock locations
• Assisting with stock counts and inventory checks
• Keeping the yard safe, clean and tidy
• Operating a forklift truck (if trained)
• Following all Health & Safety procedures

•  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•  Comfortable with manual handling and lifting duties
•  Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
•  Good attention to detail when picking customer orders
•  Commitment to health and safety standards

Desirable Experience

•  Experience within a builders’ merchant, warehouse, yard, or trade environment
•  Knowledge of building materials and construction products
•  Forklift Truck Licence
•  Full UK Driving Licence
• A willingness to learn and develop within the business

Working Hours

Week 1

• Monday to Friday: 7:30am to 5:15pm

Week 2

• Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 5:15pm
• Saturday: 8:00am to 12:00pm (rota basis)
