First New Business To Open In Leatherhead Following Pandemic

Chandlers Roofing Supplies opens a brand new business in the town Leatherhead in Surrey, with a unique drive-thru facility.

As the first new business to open in Leatherhead following the lifting of lockdown restrictions, manager James Palfreyman – born and bred Leatherhead local, is delighted to open the doors of the new roofing supplies branch.

James and assistant manager, Graham Wilson, are well known locally and have 55 years of combined experience in the roofing sector. Following an investment of £500K, the new branch is uniquely offering a drive-thru collection facility – a service element hugely welcomed by local roofers who can load up supplies in the dry, year round.

Tim Sayers of TJS Roofing, one of the most well respected roofers in the south of England, said: “It’s really great to see a new business opening up in these challenging times. We’re looking forward to visiting the new premises”

Dave Barnsby of Esher Roofing, a renowned asphalter and roofer in the region, said: “It’s great to see Chandlers and James teaming up together and creating new jobs”

Nigel and Paul of Hughes Roofing, a roofing specialist known for well-honed traditional roofing skills and methods of working on bespoke and prestigious projects to include schools and churches, said: “It’s very exciting to see a new roofers merchant open in the town. Best of luck to you all.”

Sue McKinney of the Independent Builders Merchant Group (IBMG) said: “This is really good, positive news for Leatherhead, particularly at the moment. Local roofers are keen to get back to work and it’s great that Chandlers Roofing Supplies has made the investment in the area to support this great trade.” The new branch located at Unit 1 Business Park 8, Barnett Wood Lane, Leatherhead open on May 18, 2020.
